ANDREW BORTHWICK-LESLIE

Andrew Borthwick-Leslie is the Co-Artistic Director of The Humanist Project and has been an active member of Shakespeare & Co. in Lenox, MA for twenty years.  Recent directing:  “Frances Goes to War” (Humanist Project); “Julius Caeser”, “Cymbeline” (Shakespeare& Co); “The Long Run” (The Wharton Salon); “The Merchant of Venice”, “Love’s Labour’s Lost” (The Shakespeare Forum);“Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika”, Bogosian’s “Sex Drugs & Rock and Roll” (Bckseet). Recent roles: Casca “Julius Caeser” Guildenstern/Osric “Hamlet” (Shakespeare & Co.); Fuller “Lake Street Extension”, Kip “Raised in Captivity” (Bckseet), Nathan “Madagascar” (Isis Productions); Nightingale in William’s “Vieux Carre” (Egopo).  He has taught at the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University, DeSales University, Emerson College, and the University of Maryland among others. He has taught workshops for the Center for Renaissance Studies, the American Bar Association, the New England Homeless Veterans shelter and many more.  And, as always, all credit goes to my muse James.  

Michael toomey

Michael  is the Co-Artistiic Driector of the Humanist Project.  He has been a member of the nationally acclaimed Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA since 1998, where he is an actor, director, and faculty member. He is a founding member and trustee of Split Knuckle Theatre, which devises new works of theatre and is currently touring throughout the world with recent performances in Bangkok, Athens and Paris. For the last three years Michael has been a Visiting Assistant Professor at Binghamton University teaching Clown, Shakespeare and Fight. Michael teaches workshops for professional actors in Fight, Clown and Shakespeare around the country and abroad. He has directed, devised or choreographed numerous shows including Julius Caesar and Alice In Wonderland and has performed throughout the East coast and internationally including roles such as Macbeth, Scapin, and Polonius. He is a graduate from LISPA (London International School of Performing Arts) and holds an MFA in Lecoq-based actor created theatre from Naropa University. www.michaelftoomey.com

Rose-Emma Lunderman

Rose-Emma is a Brooklyn based actor, originally from Syracuse, New York.  A graduate of Binghamton University, she studied Theatre as well as Philosophy, Politics and Law. While at Binghamton she had the wonderful opportunity to work under Michael Toomey’s direction as King Henry in Henry V. In New York she has continued working with Michael as well as Andrew Borthwick-Leslie as part of The Humanist Project. She is currently the Director of Education and Outreach for {Your Name Here} A Queer Theater, based in New York. She recently led the advocacy campaign and performed in a queered production of Romeo and Juliet at The Tank, in New York City, where raised awareness for issues involving LGBTQ youth. Rose-Emma also travelled to Durham, North Carolina to perform as Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet: Forbidden Love Comes to North Carolina as part of Theatre as Advocacy and the campaign against anti-LGBTQ Amendment One. Other favorite credits include Little Women (Jo), Rabbit Hole (Becca), House of Yes (Lesly), Independence (Kess), and Dora & Jane (NYC Fresh Fruit Festival).

Josephine Wilson

Josephine has trained extensively at Shakespeare & Co in the Berkshires and holds her MFA in Acting from Pennsylvania State University. She has recently been seen as Marcus in Titus Andronicus, Annie in Table Manners, Miss Jean Brodie in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Nancy in Frozen.  She has worked with all ages and has been a part of Shakespeare & Company's nationally acclaimed Education Department for 8 years teaching and directing in the Fall Festival of Shakespeare, Shakespeare & Young Company and the Juvenile Court Project.  Josephine currently teaches for New York Film Academy and Lincoln Center and is a proud member of Actor's Equity.
